Wine. Family. Life :
"I want to offer my own wines under my own name. I believe that my wines are healthier for you, and that you will taste and ultimately feel the difference.”
Neil Patterson Wines is the product of our need to create an authentic, healthy range of wines that reflects our passions in life. We believe that the good things in life are simple and straightforward, and that family is one of them. Wine is another. Wine that is good for you and for the environment.
This is why we offer an expanding range of premium sulphur free wines, the first such range in South Africa. Our grapes are carefully sourced from vineyards personally selected by Neil. We can thus extract the very best out of each varietal and still deliver the benefits of extraordinarily low sulphite levels to the consumer.
Each wine is crafted so that the best of each varietal is evident in the glass.
The process :
“A new venture, a new way of thinking and a new direction in wine.”
The legal limit of total sulphite levels in dry wines is 150 parts per million in red wines and 160 parts per million in white wines. This is considered safe for consumption, but at these levels many consumers experience adverse effects.
Instead of adding stabilising sulphur compounds, we employ photopurification technology to microbiologically purify your wine with ultra violet light. The process allows us to produce wines that have well under 10 parts per million of sulphur, including the sulphur that is produced naturally during fermentation. Less sulphur means fewer side effects and we take pride in offering a healthier, greener alternative to most wines currently available to consumers.
